Refund policy

DR-I S.R.L. ("we", "us"), operator of the 3DR-I store at dr-i.tech, wants you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and cancellations work.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14 Days) — Catalogue Items

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase of catalogue items within 14 calendar days from the day you (or a third party indicated by you, other than the carrier) receive the goods, without giving any reason and without incurring any cost other than return shipping (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, transposed in Italy by D.Lgs. 21/2014 and D.Lgs. 206/2005 — Codice del Consumo).

To exercise the right of withdrawal:

  1. Start the return from your customer account (Orders → Request return) or by emailing orders@dr-i.tech within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a statement that you wish to withdraw.
  2. Ship the item back to our warehouse at the address below, in its original condition, unused and with original packaging, within 14 days of your withdrawal notice.
  3. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, unless the item was damaged, defective, or incorrectly delivered.

2. Custom and Made-to-Order Products

3D-printed products that are custom, personalised, or made-to-order based on your specifications are excluded from the right of withdrawal under Art. 59(1)(c) of Italian Codice del Consumo (D.Lgs. 206/2005) and Art. 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

Custom orders are handled separately by email at info@dr-i.tech and governed by the quotation and terms agreed at the time of order. Defects or non-conformity in custom orders are addressed under the statutory legal warranty (see Section 4).

3. Refunds

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item at our warehouse, to the original payment method.
  • We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the item or evidence that it has been sent back, whichever is earlier.
  • If the returned item shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, we may reduce the refund accordingly.

4. Defective or Damaged Items (Legal Warranty)

Under Italian and EU consumer law, you are entitled to a legal warranty of 24 months from delivery for any lack of conformity (defect, damage on arrival, item not matching the description).

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  1. Start the return from your customer account (Orders → Request return) or email orders@dr-i.tech within a reasonable time (ideally within 14 days of delivery for damage on arrival).
  2. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos.
  3. We will arrange repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you, as required by law.

5. Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Custom, personalised, or made-to-order products (see Section 2)
  • Items returned without prior notice via the customer account or email
  • Items returned after the 14-day window
  • Items not in original condition (used, damaged by the customer, missing parts or packaging)
  • Promotional or clearance items, where indicated at purchase as "final sale"
